Disney Day 4

Our last day of Disney was in magic kingdom and it was a full day.
With the meal plan we started the day with about 8 snacks left so we went ahead and used 3 right off the bat by getting a soft Mickey pretzel a churro and a coke. Emma loved the churro. Our first scheduled ride of the day was the jungle cruise so we headed over to Adventureland. The Aladdin magic carpet ride had a short line so me and Emma jumped on. It was just a typical fair ride that goes around in circles and you control if it goes up or down. I got the sense that the tower of terror had made her a little jittery because she grabbed on to me as soon as it started, even though it was pretty tame.
Then we jumped on the jungle cruise. It was a slow boat ride through different jungles of the world. The lady running our boat was telling some pretty lame jokes, but emma liked seeing the elephants. The Swiss Family Robinson treehouse was right next to where we got off, so we walked through that. Emma loved it and wants me to build her one. The only stipulation being, the “doors need to open on mine.”
We had an early lunch and on our way there we saw the frozen/tangled show was going on again at Cinderella’s castle so we stopped and watched. It was sunny and mid 80s so we were glad to take a lunch break. We had a reservation at the Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square. The food was ok, but the dessert was really good. It was vanilla cake with toffee and caramel with ice cream on top. We weren’t that hungry going in to lunch but I did my best to finish that dessert. After lunch, we had fast passes for splash mountain. I asked Emma if she wanted to go again and she said yes, but I sensed a little hesitation. As soon as we went down the first little hill she grabbed me and said she wanted to get off. Uh oh. She was fine but had a pitiful little whimper going the rest of the ride. I held her tight for the big drop and as soon as we got splashed she let out a little smile. We decided to take a break from the park and head back to the hotel so we hopped on the ferry.
We went to the pool for a few hours, grabbed a few snacks, then headed back to the park. We had one more rollercoaster left, the seven dwarves mine train. I thought it was a kids ride, but once we got close I realized it went pretty fast and had a pretty big drop. The line was a two hour wait so I figured it had to be good. We had fast passes so we jumped right to the front. Emma did good, in line she said she wanted to put her hands up in the air. She did around the first turn, but once we started climbing The Hill she grabbed on. The first drop got her whimpering again, but she got over it quick. She liked it and wanted to go again after it was over. There was only one rollercoaster left in the park, the goofy themed barnstormer, so I figured it would be safe to go on that one as well. On our way over we stopped at Gaston’s Tavern to grab a cinnamon roll. It was the size of Emma’s head. At the ride, we had to wait a little bit but Emma loved that one as well. At the end of the trip she said that was her favorite ride. For dinner we stopped at Pecos Bill Cafe and got some Mexican food. Me and Emma got the Beef nachos and Linz got the fajitas. For park food, it was actually pretty good. Me and Emma ate all of ours.
After dinner we decided to walk back down Main Street to the big shop at the entrance to find Emma the Elsa doll we promised her.
Of course we had to get Anna as well. In what later proved to be a critical mistake, we tried to get closer to the castle for the fireworks. As we got closer and closer to the castle we slowly realized we’d missed our chance for a good view. We found the first available spot to camp out, which unfortunately had a large tree blocking most of the castle.
The fireworks were great and right over our heads, but we couldn’t really see the light show they were projecting on the castle.
Emma was tired and as soon as the last firework went off she was asleep. Our critical mistake was now clear as we slowly shuffled towards the exit. It probably took an hour to get back to the hotel. We had to be at the bus at 7:30 the next morning so we packed our bags and then quickly fell asleep.
