This morning we traveled to Edam in Holland. It is a cute rural city.
We went on a bike tour through the city, which was more difficulty than you might think. These bikes were very wobbly and we were advised to stay out of a cars way..as someone had been hit on a tour before..mostly because the driver didn't like tourists and had no desire to stop.
After the tour we went to a cheese and clog shop. We were briefly filled in on how they make cheese, followed by an entertaining clog making tutorial.
After Anne Frank, we walked around Amsterdam and did some shopping. Below is a picture of all the decorations they have going on for the World Cup. There is orange footballs everywhere (can't call them soccer balls here)!
P.S. Happy Father's Day, Dad!!!
Love the shoe picture! I guess the🌹🌹🌹were not in bloom. Did they have samples at the cheese place?
ReplyDeleteThey did..like 12 different cheeses to try. I just had plain though..didn't want to try the pesto :/
DeleteLooks like the weather is nice. How many folks are in your tour group?
ReplyDeleteThere are 50 people in the group. Some are getting off in Vienna and some in Rome.
DeleteDid you see the Amstel Canal and Skinny Bridge? (Diamonds Are Forever locations)
ReplyDeleteOur cruise took us down the Amstel Canal and by the skinny bridge, but I didn't take any pics unfortunately. Our guide didn't share that 007 info..
